Map the process from raw material to packing
A complete IQF line should be reviewed as a continuous process rather than as a collection of separate machines. The product path usually includes preparation, washing, thermal treatment or cooling, surface water removal, freezing and final handling.
The exact arrangement changes with the product. Leafy vegetables, shrimp, strawberry and potato products each need different preparation and temperature control.
- Raw material receiving and inspection
- Washing and preparation
- Blanching or cooking where required
- Cooling and dewatering
- IQF freezing and downstream packing
Confirm interfaces between each machine
Belt width, discharge height, control signals, water drainage, cleaning access and production speed should be considered at the connection points. This is where a line concept becomes an installable project rather than a product list.
Why a process basis helps the quotation
When the product, capacity, temperatures and factory conditions are clear, the quotation can include a more useful equipment combination, layout assumptions and utility requirements. It also makes later technical discussions faster.
