What to Include in an IQF Equipment Inquiry

Prepare a more useful equipment inquiry with product, capacity, temperature, layout and utility information.

What to Include in an IQF Equipment Inquiry

The five details engineers need first

A useful inquiry does not need to be long. Product type, hourly capacity, inlet and outlet temperatures, factory location and the required process stages give the supplier a clear starting point.

  • Product name and condition
  • Required output in kg/h
  • Inlet and target core temperature
  • Power standard and refrigerant preference
  • Factory layout or available footprint

Add photos, videos or a simple flow

A short video, product photo or hand-drawn process flow can answer questions that specifications alone cannot. This is especially helpful when replacing existing equipment or extending a working line.

Ask for the right deliverables

For a turnkey project, ask whether the quotation includes a process flow, equipment list, layout basis, utility information, delivery scope and installation support. This makes supplier comparisons more meaningful.
